Wow!! I didn’t see that coming! After watching the knockout I don’t think he did ether. Rashad, on the other hand, looked as though he knew that was supposed to happen. The up and coming UFC rookie is a very talented fighter and after watching the fight a few times I now know he is smart as well. He figured out that Chuck has a weakness. Chuck’s stance and his unusual way he holds his fists up and wide lead to the deciding blow. The way Chuck Liddell fights isn’t something you would usually see in UFC training.
This very fight was rumored to be Chuck’s retirement fight if he was to loose to Rashad Evans. Chuck was asked that question and his response was, “I will decide in the gym”. I feel this kind of response is given in order to protect his indecisiveness. Chuck is one of the best UFC fighters in the MMA, and that is of course known in his previous wins over very tough fighters. This is his passion and he is good at it. I think he still has a lot of fight in him. I also think that this is a good reason for a very exciting rematch!! Don’t You?
